Oystein Baadsvik at Dixon Place (NYC) November 2
Dear All,
I put this in the events section, but figured I would post here as well as it is a little different from a regular recital. Oystein Baadsvik will be performing at Dixon Place on November 2 in New York City. The performance will essentially be an open rehearsal, recital, talk, questions and answers, etc. It will be very interactive so if you want to know what life is like as a travelling musician bring along your questions.
Tickets can be purchased here:

I am hoping to see a few TubeNetters!

D'oh, I already have plans Wednesday night! I work right around the corner, and would totally be there otherwise.
Side note: there is a *great* beer store about 3 doors up the block from there, one of the best in the city!

Depends on if I can get the mother-in-law to agree to take care of the kid (after having done it all day while my wife and I are working...) I have a feeling she is not going to be supportive of me galavanting off to hear this tuba guru.

This was a fantastic concert. Set in an intimate black box theater, Mr. Baadsvik played beautifully and spoke with great clarity. He developed a wonderful relationship with the audience by opening it up to questions all throughout. His love of music and great artistry were truly inspiring.

Wow.. Oystein really had some amazing musical moments last night! You owe it to yourself to see him play if he's anywhere around you.
