TE-2344 New BBb Model

Post by mdc2d »

Anyone play one of these from Tuba Exchange? It appears to be a copy of the King 2341... I'm giving advice to a buddy of mine that is a high school band director. Obviously dropping the $$ for a King is tough, wondering if this lived up to the King.

Thanks!

If it plays anything like the 200, 210, 410, or the 700 model Jinbao tuba's, it's probably better than a king and for the money I would buy one of these new then a use King. JMHO.

For length of service, ease of maintenance (except for the "King Spin" to get water out) and availability of "crash parts," he's better off getting the two King 2341s which are at Dillons right now.

Please be advised this gentleman sells "CHINESE" instruments.

He should let that cat out of the bag when he offers so called "advice".

You might want to wait for some reviews, this particular model seems quite new. Also, once the other sellers of Jinbao horns get their hands on this horn the price will drop. For the time being, you're probably best to tell the band director to get a used King. However, this will be a horn to consider in 6 months or so...

Sorry for not letting that bit of information out, my apologies. I was just responding to a simple post, I have nothing to gain on this and was just giving my opinion. My post was based off my experience with selling the models I listed, the comparisons I have made and my 30+ years of experience. Again, my apologies for not fully disclosing myself, as I did not think I had to. It does look like a very interesting horn and certainly worth taking a look at.

I will be getting one of these in stock in about 5-6 weeks time, so will be able to tell you how I find.

BTW This is not made by JinBao, but by the manufacturer of the compensated BBb (which are good)

Any chance of getting a 981 copy with that valve set? That = interesting.
