I was fortunate to stumble upon the following ad a couple of weeks ago:
http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/atq/2674929577.html" target="_blank
I was shocked to find out over a week later that is was still available! It is scheduled to arrive here tomorrow. Once I get it all polished up, I will definitely post some pics.

Re: Deal of the Millennium!!!!
First: Congratulations!
Second: I am curious about this one, as it has a permutation of features that doesn’t immediately ring a bell with me about make and model. The outer branches look like having a very large bore, whereas the bell throat doesn’t look very big compared to the flare. I would expect a quite deep and compact sound.
Do you know make and model?
Klaus

It is believed to be a H.N. White King 1265 Jumbo Sousaphone. It was originally scheduled to arrive today, but didn't. I'm hoping for the best tomorrow!

Re: Deal of the Millennium!!!!
I have the horn now....
It is indeed a King 1265 Jumbo. It was in decent shape, but I had Dan Schultz work on it some as well. It has had the dents removed, slides repaired, bell collar trued, and a portion of tubing below the lower leadpipe replaced. In addition, the valves were replated and honed by Anderson. It plays and looks great now.
