Yamaha 822 F tuba Serial Number

Post by bigjon3838 »

Hello All,

Just bought an older 822 and was trying to find when it was made. Im waiting on a response from some people I know at Yamaha in Anaheim but thought I would post here to see if there were any Ideas. The serial number is 100102 and it does not say yamaha on the bell. It has yamaha and the model number on the second valve casing and thats it. Thanks

Yamaha does not publish serial number lists and the numbers do not contain a date code. However... the horn is not too terribly old. Serial numbers higher than 100,001 were made after 1988.
