...or are the sousaphone prices on ebay getting way over-inflated? :shock:

I haven't payed much attention to Ebay prices of sousaphones lately but I have been getting more requests for them. It's sort of nice to see that the trend may be moving back to them instead of those shoulder-fired things!

Have you seen the price of NEW sousaphones?? YOWZA! Did I get a sticker shock last week!! $6,000 - $7,000 for a brass sousie!! As in the tuba market, when the cost of new instruments soar, the value of used instruments in good condition also inflates. Welcome to Econ101......
