Aftermarket Thumb Ring

Post by Mister Stone »

Hey all. Does anyone know where I can buy a thumb ring for my 186? It doesn't necessarily need to be adjustable since I can solder it wherever I want it. It doesn't have to be Miraphone. Even a used ring from a Sousa would work.

Thanks, I'll look. I could call Badger State but I'm sure I'll be shelling out more $$$. A rotor spring cost 15 bucks and took forever to get to me.

Non-adjustable is about $25 retail
Adjustable is about twice that.
Add a few more bucks for postage to your dealer.

Your price may vary depending on your dealer mark up.

Go ahead and buy a new one. I would guess that 30% of the Miraphones I get for rebuilt have the thumbring torn off the horn. Too bad folks think those things are handles!
