Anybody play the used Kodiak F tuba at WWBW? I would like to know more information about this specific instrument.
Thank you

my impression FWIW, At that price, you might as well just buy a new one.

I am considering a new one as well.... the only problem is there is only two of the Kodiaks on the market right now, both used
. and the new ones are out probably 3 months for delivery. So if anybody knows of a new one hiding some place let me know
.

I have to wonder if 2 is a significant percentage of the number of Kodiaks that Meinl-Weston has produced thus far.Ivan Giddings wrote:I am considering a new one as well.... the only problem is there is only two of the Kodiaks on the market right now, both used. and the new ones are out probably 3 months for delivery. I didn't know they were that hard to come by. I remember being at WWBW about 18 months ago, and they seeemed to have a few there in the showroom. I do agree though, their price seems a bit high for something used.
Good luck hunting one that suits your tastes down. I didn't spend a great deal of time on any of them, but found it to be a nice, somewhat interesting instrument.
