Any chance this tuning widget will be made available for purchase for those of us that might want to install it on other horns?
Is it 'double sprung' so that you can adjust both sharp and flat notes?
We don't want to distract from the current wave of tuba enthusiasm with a discussion about cimbassi. It's a separate project that we'll be taking a closer look at in a few months. Thanks for understanding.

Just spent four days with Grand 5/4 CC and BBb tubas, as well as the new 5/4 F that made it's world premiere at the NAMM Show. Also John Van Houghten, Beth Mitchell were there as well as cameo appearances by Jim Self and Charles Dallenbach and Wycliffe Gordon. Having trouble posting pictures to the list, so please look at my Facebook page Howard Miyata for pix! Maybe Charles Hargett or Steve Ferguson will post pix soon!
First image Cc second image BBb third image new 5/4 F tuba.
BBb grand has tune any note feature -- production tuba will have a 2 way spring loaded throw that will recenter preset position so you can either raise or sower pitch . f tubas 3/4 and 5/4 will have the same mechanism but with a T- bar on the 3/4 or a spring loaded slide with ring on the 5/4. The CC really doesn't need the spring loaded slide, but we will probably put in on anyway just so they don't feel left out.
This just in, Lee Stouffer should have the Grand CC for the Army tuba conference!
My friend and sales manager for Kanstul Charles Hargett will be there too!
I wish I could be at the Army Conference, love to hear input on these instruments.
If you see my buddy Tom Holtz, send my regards. I wonder if Tom Treece will be there. Someday I would love to meet Lee Stouffer, tuba people are wonderful!
