I'm noticing that both of the instruments in 2165's hi-res picture sport the famous "short" 5th valve slide
(shorter - rather than longer - than a normal first valve loop, which require 5+2+4 to play low Bb...awkward
for modern players, and a length that limits the uses for a 5th rotor.)

The owner of both horns plays low Bb 1+2+4. He does have the longer 5th valve slides, but prefers the originals.
He also has a longer 3rd valve slide to give a modern 2+3 combination with 3rd alone. It's known as the Dresdener fingering system...
cheers
