Questionnaire...
Considering the ability level of Sheridan, Bobo, Palafian, Baadsvik, Pokorny, etc., you must be very good to rank that high.Captain Sousie wrote:Best horn: Hirsbrunner HB2P

Well I havent answerd yet..
What horn is the best one you ever played ? My Current 34 years old Boosey & Hawkes Eb Horn!!! I love it i just bought it its in perfect condition.. Also played a HB21 but didnt liked it..
What mouthpiece is the best one you ever played ? As im only 17 and i live in Israel and nobody here sale mouthpieces i havent played a lot of them but i like very much my Denis Wick 3 which i currently use.
Who is the best player ever ?
I Would probably have to say Gene Pokurny or Shmuel Hershko who is my teacher and i admire him now more then ever when i can hear him alot more (i just started learning with him this year, his the best!!!)
Who is the current best player ?
In Solo i would probably have to say Oystein Baadsvik which i like alot! he is great! also in solos and orchestral excerpts is Gene for me, you have to know how to play together with 100 more people so it'll probably be Gene..
What is the most diffcult piece you've handled ?
I Currently Handling the 3rd movment in the VW Concerto and its pretty tough, but the most diffcult for me probably was the 4th movment of Concertant suite by Danielsson or Concertino for Bass Trombone By Spisak..
What is the most intresting piece you handled ?
Wow, Concertino for bass trombone by spisak and Concertant Suite.. Just WoW!!
What is the best Tuba Solo CD ?
I Have so many so its like about 13-14 here i like Gene Pokorny "Big Boy" and the Baadsvik "Tuba Festival" Best!!

Best horn: Yamaha Custom YCB-822. Not one of your common heavy hitters, but I feel absolutely invincible on that horn. Nothing that I want to do that it doesn't seem like the horn's been just waiting for me.
Best mouthpiece: G&W's Bayamo. Can't get enough of it because it can't take enough air. On the 822, it's like playing a vaccuum cleaner.
Best Player EVER: You know, I'm a huge Roger Bobo fan. No one, in my own mind, has yet been able to duplicate his mastery of the horn. A player as strong as him proved that a horn really is "just a piece of brass, it hasn't any brains."
Current best player: Orchestral, for the sake of argument and all-around musicianship, I'm going to go with Ronald Bishop. Solo sound? I really like both Phil Sinder (Michigan State) on his Aerodynamics and Skillen (LSU) on BLue Plate.
Most difficult: Penderecki Cappriccio. Always more to do with it, can never put it down for good.
Most interesting: For most listeners, I'm going to agree with Triumph of the Demon Gods, followed perhaps by the Barnes Concerto.
Best solo CD: Portrait of an Artist. A must own for any serious musician, instrumental or vocal. Perhaps the most definitive recording of our time.
