It would be the equivalent of a 5 valve HBS192, I would imagine. They're very nice tubas. Peter Hirsbrunner once said it was probably one of the best designs they've ever made.

No wonder the Chinese copied these.

Ratio is 1:2 ballpark... 'not reallly an answer'

Is "overall, about 4X as expensive as the Chinese copy, but about 1/2 the cost of a new instrument" roughly in the ballpark?

Hello,

i'm very glad with the positive comments on this revision.

The old valve set from the tuba of Wilco is not for sale, but we did this revision once more and i have
1 complete set, with tubing etc. 1 set with only the cilinderblock.
I will do a other make over with the same modl tuba, and also a older type HBS Comet also 3 valve compensator.
