It's a keeper.
As I understand it, there are now three different tuba mouthpieces from Parke.
The Original: Large mouthpiece that's great for taming and bringing the most out of large tubas.
2: Same rim as original. Smaller cup.
3: Same rim profile but smaller diameter. Smaller cup and backbore optimized for F tuba.
If I have my facts right all three are available in american or euro shank and brass or bronze.
I've played the original for quite a while and can't imagine anything better. The Parke 3 arrived yesterday. Odds are very high it will become my only F tuba mouthpiece for many many years to come. Very pleased.

Re: The New Parke 3 mouthpiece for F tuba
Glad to hear you are pleased with the new mouthpiece!!!
When Jeff Parke and I designed the Parke 3 mouthpieces we were looking for a true F/Eb mouthpiece that would offer the player quick response and clarity of articulation, while maintaining a warm and even sound from top to bottom. With the help of my colleagues Adam Snider, Ben Ordaz and Dan Bryce we blind tested several Parke/Ofenloch prototypes along with several of the more popular F/Eb mouthpieces currently available. The new Parke 3 was unanimously the winner.
As noted in your post, the Parke 2 mouthpiece has exactly the same rim diameter and contour as the original, however the cup depth and contour, the throat and the mass are optimized for increased clarity and brilliance.
All three Parke/Ofenloch mouthpieces incorporate the uniform wall design which gives each model the optimal mass, by reflecting the interior cup size on the exterior of the mouthpiece. This helps maintain the unique responsiveness that has become synonymous with our design.
Yes, all three mouthpieces come in American or Euro shank, and all three are available in either brass or bronze.

Re: The New Parke 3 mouthpiece for F tuba
I have the Parke 2 and 3 for my Thor and 45-SLP, respectively...the difference between them and my previous PT mouthpieces is unbelievable...richer, more vibrant tone, easy low registers, incredible ease in the high registers, and much more comfortable on the face. If you're looking for new mouthpieces, these absolutely have to be on your short list!
