Euphonium Gig Bags

Post by Hiram »

I have a very vague memory of a European manufacturer that made/makes a lightweight, hard shell molded plastic, backpack style gig bag. I guess they were kind of like the Marcus Bonna cases, maybe even more compact. I remember that they made some youtube videos, possibly in Italian/Spanish??? Also I think they were black.

Anybody know of anything like this? I am currently in the market for a new gig bag, I would be interested in any suggestions!

Thanks!

sounds like you are talking about BAGS of spain. Their web site doesn't have very good pictures of the euphonium models and none of the US distributors that sell their trombone and trumpet cases seem to import the euphonium models, but the trombone cases I've seen from them look REALLY nice.

<edit> aha -- here's a link with some better pictures of their newer euphonium model that is more bonna-like, with a youtube link:

and a slightly different model:
