The response is much better with Colgate, but only on a BBb and it doesn't help lacquer.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Actually... most toothpaste contains a very fine abrasive. It can also be used for lapping valves.

Well, I am fighting intestinal battles again...the good news is that the coaching I got from the ER doc and the G/E have let me stop the blockage (odd choice of words, but there you are) without assistance from the NG tube and the hospital, just some old fashioned rest and some soft foods. Think I'm out of the woods...or the pines.

A Saint Patrick's Day toast:

Here's to the wine we love to drink
And the food we love to eat.
Here's to our wives and sweethearts,
And may they never meet.
Here's champagne for our real friends
And real pain for our sham friends.
And when this journey finally ends, may all of us find peace.

Here's to all the women I've loved
And all the ones I've kissed.
As for regrets, I just have one:
That's all the ones I've missed.
While women's faults are many,
We men have only two:
Every single thing we say and everything we do.

But I wish you health, I wish you wealth
And happiness galore.
I wish you heaven when you die,
What could I wish you more?
May your joys be as deep as the ocean,
Your troubles as light as its foam,
And may you find sweet peace of mind,
Wherever you may roam.
We pronounce it Guf Coast

On Monday... I took out a hot tub that I installed back in the mid-70's. The feeling was sort of like owning a boat. The best days are when I bought it and when I got rid of it!

I got a permanent, full-time job as the 5-12 band teacher at the rural school I've been subbing at this past school year! Boy it's nice to be able to start making plans (both in and out of school-life)!

Yup, and we know we're going to pay for it later (probably several times over), don't we? Keep the ice scraper and snow shovel by the door -- it ain't June yet ...

It is a good job, it's a lot of job for one person (it could easily be turned into two full-time jobs) but given the economy, it's probably going to stay as a one-man show for a while. It's a lot of work, but it can be a lot of fun too!

I suspect that the "corrector" is programmed by people with a mind in the gutter so as to embarrass folks. How else could you get "apartment for the whores" from "appointment for the horses"? I do hate the presumptiveness of the auto correct. And it is unfair.

Works for me; I need the former far more often than the latter.

You know your national anthem rendition is lame when even your own band members think it is:

While on vacation in Portugal, a wandering band came into the restaurant where we were having dinner, and let me play their "announcement horn". None of the valves worked, but when I was able to communicate that, yes, I did play one of those, they let me try it out.
