And if it was a decent Alex it woulda sold at 5k....

sorry, but blowout "retailer" pricing almost always = "bowser"

Given the fact that Alexanders are over-priced 'boutique' tubas, $3,000 is a very good starting price for this horn, even if it is just an "OK" tuba.

I see Buckeye Brass still have a nice looking older 4v CC Alex also, but a bit more pricy-FYI.....
