I am wondering if anybody out there has a brass quintet arrangement of the Marine Hymn? If you have a version available please let me know. Thank you.

Re: Brass Quintet version of Marine Hymn???
When I was in the navy, we just grabbed the brass parts and took a look to see what gave it the fullest sound.
Something like:
1st and 2nd trpt
1st horn
2nd trombone
and tuba.
We might have had the trombone play the euph part. Can't remember.
There is def a way to make it work with the parts that are available.

The arrangement of the Armed Forces Tribute by Tom Holtz includes it.

And on that note, from the marine band website:

After looking at the parts, I might suggest trumpet 1 and 2, horn 3, trombone 1, and tuba. But that's just after a real quick look.

Jari Villanueva has an arrangement for brass quintet called Salute to the Armed Forces. The Marine Hymn is part of this arrangement. You can order the arrangement here: http://www.jvmusic.net/BrassQuintet.html" target="_blank
