Kansas State/Wichita Shout out! (Need a place to test tubas)

Hey Tubenet,

I am meeting a fellow tubenetter in Wichita to play test horns this Saturday around 12-1PM. We are need of a space to have for about an hour or two to try the horns out. Would be nice if it was a relatively large space. I haven't called any churches yet, but I will if nothing turns up.

If you feel like driving up to Chicago, I can get you into a gymnasium. Just be prepared for me to frown and shake my head between sipping a beer.

Don't know if you found a place, but next time, contact Phil Black (principal, Wichita Symphony/professor, Wichita State University). I'm sure he could make some arrangements for a space to use. He might even join in playing. You could also try a guy at Wichita Band Instrument Company who works in the repair shop. His name is Kevin Stiles. He also might join you in the instrument trying. You could probably easily find the contact info online. If not, PM me.
