Post by PaulTkachenko »

Hi guys,

Mine's in the repair shop until next week and I need to know the weight for booking a flight ...

Anybody got that detail for me?

The usual limit over here is 23kg ...

Regards,

Hi Paul,
Mine has always been under the max size and weight on flights in the US and China. Definitely under 50 lbs/23 kg in the original Yamaha case. . . be sure to stuff the bell with a pillow/grocery bag full of t-shirts/etc. to help keep it from squished if it takes a minor hit to the bell end...

Great - we can book the tickets in confidence!

British Airways have been getting quite strict in recent years ...

Cheers,
