So I'm on my way to jump on a cruise ship in Hamburg, Germany and thought it would be cool to see the workshop my tuba, Gronitz CC PCK was built. Dietrich Kleine-Horst not only opened his shop on a holiday but he gave 2+ hours showing me around and letting me play all the wonderful instruments in his shop. What an absolute JOY!
He had the whole arsenal available and even an Eb tuba I had never seen.
If you have never seen a workshop where a tuba is designed, crafted, and produced I encourage you to seek one out. You will appreciate the art even more.
I would highly recommend giving these instruments a try when you have the opportunity.
Thanks again Dietrich you're the Best!

If it's his discontinued model with the wide bell, that's a killer horn. A shame he stopped making 'em.Tubamoo wrote:and even an Eb tuba I had never seen.
Dietrich's been great the times I've been through.
