Killer website design - Spectrum Brass

Post by jcameron »

Hello everyone - I just wanted to share our new website with you - http://www.spectrumbrass.com.

We have been very lucky to work with a world-class designer (http://stereotonic.com/) and are blown away with not only the beautiful design, but the clean "one-click" layout as well. It has been a lot of fun to dig deep into what Spectrum Brass stands for, and apply that branding to a new website like this.

Please let me know what you think. There was a lot of R&D put into this site and we are very satisfied with the result.

I know of a lot of groups that have fancy websites that get updated only once or twice a year, if at all. I hope yours won't be one of them.

My band's website is not as flashy, (not a "killer"?) but I am able to update it personally whenever new info about upcoming gigs becomes available.

Well done site. I was surprised that some features of css apparently didn't work in one of my browsers (IE pre-Chrome something). The content shows what you do and that you didn't skimp on making a first class website. Best of luck.

Thanks for the kind words Michael and Alex.

It has been a real learning experience working with people who do branding and design for a living. I know some musicians feel that things like website design, poster design, and other branding aspects are unimportant, but I have enjoyed knowing that every aspect of our materials reflects the musicianship within the group.

Alex, do you mind sending information to me about your specific browser and what didn't work for you? We are always looking to improve if possible.

Thanks!

Awesome group! Some of the pages load up slowly from the website but other than that it's very slick!

Thanks Fairweather! I have also noticed the slow pages and the developer is trying to figure it out. It doesn't seem to be all of them so hopefully they can fix it right away.
