John Williams Concerto - recording posted

Post by Drbuzzz »

I know that posting stuff on YouTube must be easy...because it took too long for me to figure out! Anyway, I wanted to share the performance of John Williams' Concerto that I did back in February (on Mr. Williams' 80th birthday no doubt....was NOT planned...consider it the Perfect Storm of "awesome" that it worked out that way).

Thanks again to the wonderful student musicians of the Columbus State Philharmonic and their conductor, Dr. Paul Hostetter. And, to my student, Jimmy Hendricks, for filling in for me when I couldn't be at rehearsals.

Thanks for checking it out!

Oh, I uploaded it in HD, so be sure to listen to it that way. Sure makes a difference on my headphones!

Your performance sounds great!

BUT WAIT. Your student's name is Jimmy Hendricks?? Does he play a right-handed tuba left-handed?

No, but I have seen him light his tuba on fire.
