The silver spray paint (!) is already off. A little dent work when I get home, and I'll be set, for a little while anyway. Most likely I'll sell it after enjoying it for a while, since I'm not actually a baritone player. Or maybe I'll become one.

No, I paid his asking price. It was already undervalued at that level. I didn't want to take advantage of him.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the paint off? I assume bead or sand blasting would mess with the valves....
