I am still always surprised when I see an Alexander get beat up like that. They are such great horns, and I can't figure out how they get into the hands of someone who fails to appreciate them.

The condition is really not THAT bad for a circa 100-year-old tuba. The bell and valve section seem to be in decent condition. The big dents can be taken out with dent ball magnets and with a little cleaning and oiling of valves & slides, it can turn out to be a pretty good tuba, I think.
