Soda Blasting

Post by zangerzzz »

I need to clean and refinish a couple of horns and am considering soda blasting. I've a friend that used soda blasting on valve caps to clean them and said it did a good job and gave them a satin finish. He will be doing a trumpet soon. Does anyone have any experience with this method? Could you enlighten grasshopper with your knowledge?

Unless you plan to lacquer the soda-blasted finish... or just blast it again in a few months to clean it up and make it look bright again... I don't know why you would do it.

There's another thread about this here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50981
