Ryan Schultz-http://ryanschultzmusic.com/

Ryan plays with the Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Yakima Symphony. He is on the faculty at the University of Puget Sound. I studied with Ryan for about three years. I learned a lot for him and would definitely recommend him.

Kadie Nichols

Kadie also plays with the PNB (trombone). I have never studied with Kadie, but I have met her and I know she is extremely active in the Low Brass community around Seattle. I have played with many of her students (trombone and tuba) and have always been impressed.

I think her number is on this list..

Paul Evans

Paul is the tubist with the Tacoma Symphony and numerous other ensembles around Seattle. I also think he is on the faculty of Pacific Lutheran University. I enjoyed my few lessons with him. I am not sure how close he is to Seattle. I couldn't find any contact information for Mr. Evans, but I am sure it is out there somewhere.

Those were some of the first names that came to my mind. There are a lot of other players around town, but I wasn't sure if they taught extensively or not.

I hope that helped.

Ryan Schultz 206-355-7493

During the school year, he teaches Monday afternoons and evenings at Islander Middle School, south end of Mercer Island. During the summer you have to catch him at his north Seattle home.

Kadie Nichols and her partner, Cathy Cole teach at their Redmond home. They are both excellent. I think their phone number is still 425-882-0944. They would certainly be closer to you. No idea what your current level of playing is, but once either of them got you going well, they'd likely send you on to Ryan, as Kadie did with me.

Best of Luck!
