Looking for the ultimate practice mute

If you can't hear their TVs, I would think most any practice mute would be enough. Why wouldn't it be?

I think you've got exactly what you need already. A couple of days ago, my son posted on FB, "Daddy is playing the tuba across the hall and I can't hear him at all." That was me doing my best on a 6/4 BBb with a a Silent Brass mute. We were just twenty feet or so apart with just two interior walls between us.
