John Williams - Reivers

Post by John Whitener »

Hello,
An excerpt from John Williams film score from "Reivers" is being asked for the TMC audition. I have been unable to find a recording of anything except the opening title and theme which does not contain the excerpt asked. I know nothing about the piece including the tempo. Can anyone shed some light on where I might be able to find a recording or tell me the rough tempo of the excerpt?
Thanks

If you're talking about the Winton Flyer solo, this is a great recording:

I played this with John way back in the early '80s. If you still need help, email me and I can see what I remember.

Good luck,
