ok i'll try to remember the orchestration as we did this last year for our high school musical:
3 Flutes
4 Clarinets
1 Bass Clarinet
1 Alto Sax
1 Tenor Sax
1 Bari Sax
2 Trumpets
2 Trombones
1 Tuba
1 Piano
2 Violins
1 Cello
2 Percussionists
I think that's pretty close to the correct orchestration

according to http://www.musicalnotesnmore.com/ it is
Instrumentation: 5 reeds, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 1 tuba, violin, cello, bass, guitar/banjo, percussion I and II, piano/conductor
Tuba parts that I've seen in musicals are more or less a double of the bass part and the 5th reed book.

When I played the touring show last year, the Tuba book was optional (MD's preference, I believe) but he let me play because I brought it along with my bass trombone so I could get the double. (I was hired as a doubler) Nice Guy!!! The tuba is important in only a few sections.Jonathan Cruz wrote:according to http://www.musicalnotesnmore.com/ it is
