prayers for Harv Hartman

Post by ken k »

just got this message on facebook about my dear friend Harv hartman..

Pray for Harold Hartman. His daughter posted that he had an apparent brain aneurysm burst this morning. He had surgery but they of course have to see how he responds.

Very sad evening for me. Harv is one of the kindest and nicest men I know.

My very best wishes to Harv, a good man and true. I have a video somewhere of when we played
a little helicon - harmonica duet and made the women laugh and the dog bark. Good times. Get well Harv.

Harold/Harv's daughter posted this AM: "He's doing well. Minimal bleeding, his right arm and leg are weak. They're going to keep him sedated and on a breathing tube until sometime next week."

Harv is a great man. A true gentleman and gentle man. He's done a lot of work for my son and has been very open to discussion and assistance in the tuba relm. Just wish I knew him more as a person. Heartfelt prayers for is recovery and his family...... and dog.

Latest update from Harv's daughter: "He's stable and fighting like hell. He wouldn't do it any other way. There are many obstacles, but he is trying his best and that's all we can ask of him. He's sedated and on a ventilator. He will remain both sedated and and on the ventilator for several days. This is to give his body as much time to heal as possible. One hour, one day at a time. Please, keep your thoughts and prayers coming. Thank you so much for all of your support. XO"

Tonight's update from Harv's daughter: "The fluid in dad's lungs has decreased, but was still too much to start weening him today. Again, we are hoping that we can ween tomorrow. I will say that his leg and left arm movements do sometimes seem purposeful. Mom and I were asking him to move his legs today. And he was...the movements were delayed. Of course, this "exercise" raised his blood pressure and nurse asked us to stop. When I said goodnight to him tonight he raised his arm...like a wave. So, who knows. It's a little glimmer of hope to hold on to. Tomorrow is mom and dad's 31st anniversary. Not exactly the way they planned to celebrate, at least they'll be together all day. Again....we appreciate your continuing support. This would be so much harder without you. XO"

It seems like Harv is through the most dangerous part, thankfully. Pray that nothing major occurs from here on out. There is still a long road of therapy for recovery, he'll need all his friends and family for that. Best wishes for a safe and speedy recovery, Harv.
