Matt Walters @ Dillon's
Just a quick shout out that Matt Walter's is the real deal! I just picked up some of my equipment from him yesterday, and must say that he is meticulous with regards to detail, and aims to make every instrument better than new upon completion.
Stating the obvious here, but if you are anywhere in the northeast it is well worth your trip to Dillons to have Matt work on your stuff.
Thank you Matt for such first class work!

Matt is a remarkably kind, gracious, and generous fellow. It was great to finally meet him and talk to him this summer.

Matt is great, though we have not met in person (3000+ miles is a bit of a jont), our phone conversations have always been enjoyable. So much more cuddly then Bloke, unless your into snuggling with a cactus
Yes, I'm joking.
I often send folks Matt's way for tubas and such. Dillons is a fine shop with many talented staff members.

I told him he needed to push in a bit.
Sounded, maybe, a little flat...

Matt is truly a great craftsman. I have been a loyal customer since I've moved out to the east coast and he has done fabulous work on my horns: from lead pipe fabrication, tuning crook fabrication, economy overhaul, valve work, cleaning, tweaking... You name it. I have two new fairly large projects for him whenever he has the time to fit me in. More on those when I get the results. He is a great source of knowledge, does very detailed work, and one can see his love of the work he does in his craftsmanship.
Ps, funny guy too, I love that pic.
