Especially since that sousaphone looks like it's in good condition.Frank Ortega wrote:

Sousaphone was a martin mammoth 26 inch bell. The sousa was held to the chair by hose clamps. It sold for the asking price according to the seller.

Re: Mammoth Chair?
That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen! Maybe this thread needs to be retitled 'Stupid Things To Do With Music Instruments'! Sort of like 'The Women of Walmart' videos.

Oh man... - this is one of those things you see - scratch your head and wonder to yourself - "How goofed up was the guy who did this?"

Re: Mammoth Chair?
It's sad to see such a great, vintage instrument saddled to such a disgustingly floral chair. What a waste. I hope the purchaser knows how great he horn could be.

Re: Mammoth Chair?
I would just to see the horrible chair detached from the horn.bloke wrote:OK...
If it's going to waste, which one of you is going to pay the $600 and un-waste it?

Re: Mammoth Chair?
Honestly, that is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen! I can't figure out what purpose is served by adding the sousa to the chair. It looks uncomfortable and awkward. And those sousas can be just fantastic. Oh well....
