Suggestions please...

Post by Bandmaster »

I am looking for some suggestions for a good arrangement of a tuba quartet to be used at a community band level concert. It doesn't have to be technical to impress people, a more melodic piece would better fit the audience. Any ideas and what has worked for you in the past? Thanks...

If you have a lead euph with decent chops and tenor clef, Dave Werden's Stars and Stripes chart works well.

John Fletcher's arrangement of the Waltz from Sleeping Beauty might fit the bill.

Quartet

I've got several Low-Brass Quartets I played on tuba & valve trombone on YouTube that might interest you. Here's a link to Baby Elephant Walk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz3uVB1O ... Irbec-z7ws" target="_blank
Most of these are available as PDF on Cimarron Music.
I also just uploaded 9 Christmas Quartets.
Have fun,
Tom
