David Snow - Works for Tuba

Post by maroonbran »

I'm currently looking at a work by David Snow entitled "Poor Mr. Cabbage!" I've searched high and low for information on the composer and/or the piece, and have found nothing more than his Wikipedia page. There are a few recordings of other works by him on Naxos, but nothing of the mid-70's atonal nature that this piece belongs to.

If anyone has information on a performance of a work, player who's performed it, or general knowledge I'd sincerely appreciate it.

Cheers!

I'm surprised you missed his website, which includes his email, so that you can ask him yourself. It took me less than three second to look it up. I suggest looking beyond the first search result on google.com, perhaps to the third, or even fourth or fifth.

He probably just went to TubeNet because he wanted to strike up a conversation with another tuba player who would be empathetic and give him encouragement and positive feedback, maybe even overlooking his web search limitations. NOT!
