Cool tuba! What's the story behind the longer, fixed bell?

The seller that sold for me told that the detachable bell was changed to this fixed bell from, maybe, a 2341 old style. The 4th valve was added too.

When I was choosing the instruments in the store, I played a some model, with the original detachable bell, but this Tuba had a better sound for my ears! So, I purchased this. I love its sound!
