Was that the new BBb 6/4?

The CC 6/4 that Dick brought to Midwest was fairly comfortable to hold with good placement of the leadpipe, particularly for a short fella like moi.

Of all the people who have tried the 6/4 Gemheinhardt cc tuba, I am really curious to hear bloke's uncensored and honest opinion on sound, play-ability and construction. He's had his hands on MANY quality 6/4 horns in the past. What say you Joe?

I'd also like to hear what this guy has to say about the BigMouth 6/4.
It had a sticky 2nd valve early in the day, but later on it played well.
I liked it, and wish I could afford all three of Mr. Barth's BBb models.

Just a crazy idea: How hard would it be to make a removable valve section that could be put onto either the 4/4 or the 6/4 body? Two (or even three) bugles sharing one valve section might make sense for some folks.

I'm not sure if Terry had any newer models with him or not. His table was around the corner from mine and I didn't get an up and close look at his stock. Maybe check his website to see if he has anything new added.

The guy bringing his tubas to the market is really enthusiastic about what he's doing.
I'm seeing unique designs (like them or not), and not just a bunch of blatant patent infringements.
Do his 6/4-size tubas strongly resemble long-discontinued American tubas? They do, and the operative phrase is "long-discontinued".

The BMB 6/4 models, specifically, do what they claim to do.
Are the valvesets the most sublimely constructed? I think most know the answer to that question.
btw, I got that 2nd valve to stop sticking in about four seconds (no oil).
Are the main bugles of both the BBb and CC versions worthy of higher-grade valvesets? I believe the bells and bows offer as much resonance and as accessible intonation characteristics as some other past/presently marketed models.

Hmmm...So, imagine the "long-discontinued American," err, BMB main bugle with MAW valvesets... Retail would still be well below $10K according to currently projected quotes...
