Wasn't he buried at Notre Dame(Univ., that is)? Perhaps not.

Was this scored for tuba or bass trombone?

Of course, it will be THE ONE that they are offering for sale...

:?
Many times, it's because they need (or want!) the money more than they need the tuba! (Been there, done that!)

Good folks on Tubenet. "Selfless" wouldn't be too strong a word.

Some strong winds came through here and took out the power. I got out my camping lantern, filled it up with lamp oil, and have been enjoying the mellow glow. I just noticed that on the bottle of lamp oil it says, "Warning - combustible".

Good! You got the right kind this time! :)
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

BBQ/smoked pork ribs are good. They are even good warmed over. They remain good warmed over at least 5 days after their original service date. Pork ribs are just good. You have been updated.

Looks like another one has gone to the corn field.

Now we will just never know the question to that answer.

Only just over 200 replies (and I musta missed the last one - must have been good!) but, at least Verdi hated the tuba will retain its spot a bit longer, at least.

Should we feel sorry for the one who wrote enough words for his doctorate and has now lost it all?????

What you REALLY need is some of Terri's great soup and corn bread. I still haven't matched those.

What is a normal amount for an electric bill? I got mine for last month, and holy crap it was expensive. I know it was super cold and my windows are drafty, but for how small of an apartment we have, it's crazy.

- I'm thankful that my first tuba teacher didn't tell me what type of tuba to buy, but gave me a ride to a regional T.U.B.A. conference where I was able to try out a bunch of tubas and then (yup) decide for myself that a (then: new 1970's) 186 would be a good choice. It was.

- I'm thankful that none of my tuba teachers - at least not during my impressionable years - worked-for or were-associated-with tuba-selling companies.

- I'm thankful that none of my tuba teachers tried to point out to me that "this" model of tuba has been "winning" a bunch of auditions.

- I'm thankful that I've always been stubborn enough - and with enough of an overinflated ego - to believe that I have had the ability to try out tubas and make my own decisions with my own money.
Word!
You guys certainly have some chutzpah! Here are some things you REALLY need to know:

1)It is impossible for anyone to know how to properly choose a tuba without the help of an authority.
2)If a particular model tuba has not been used by a winner of an orchestral audition, it is worthless.
3)Ummm, let's see. There was supposed to be a #3.

Electric and gas for my 3,000 square feet averages about $300 a month this time of year. That includes a small greenhouse with a ventless natural gas heater and an electric heater for the shop on really cold days. If I could buy a home-sized nuclear reactor/generator... I would!

Terri is also a pharmacist. She's got me 'fixed up' pretty well today!

(Edit).... Ken... I just polished off a big bowl of potato & sausage soup and a couple of slices of freshly-baked beer bread. I think I'm 'on the mend' now!
