There are many excellent pieces on the CD Vocalise, by Ray Mase on trumpet, that will
also be nice on tuba. I cannot find the music for Villa Lobos, Vocalise. Help please.
(No problem finding the most common pieces, by Ravel and Rachmaninov, and of course I am willing
to transpose or read any clef.)
Incidentally, the performances on this CD are superb. The tribute also applies to Diana Mase, piano.

That would be my first try. Probably the easiest to transpose.musikfind1 wrote:Villa Lobos, Vocalise

Re: Sheet music for Ray Mase Vocalise
Although i cannot find the sheet music, the source
http://imslp.org/wiki/Sortable_list_of_ ... illa-Lobos" target="_blank
contains a possible match, W245 Vocalises-Estudos Voice, Piano 1929 Vocal (solo) 2 Commissioned and edited under the direction of A.L. Hettich.
To those offering the suggestion: Bachianas Brazileiras number 5; no, that is different.
Perhaps it would help if I give links, where one can listen to the piece. One source is
http://www.amazon.com/Trumpet-Vocalise/dp/B000QQW4NY" target="_blank
which currently has a link that lets one hear a snippet of the Ray Mase performance.
Another is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6AX0SYITgg" target="_blank
showing two Julliard students in rehearsal. Thanks to those who have tried so far; I should have been more specific in my original post of this query!
