Has anyone purchased a new Piggy recently? I am curious about them, but since Cerveny/Amati closed their warehouse in the US trial of new horns is not possible.
I'd be very interested to try a newer one in the D/FW area.
Thanks

Re: New Piggy
Aren't you like 7 feet tall? I'm barely 5'10"! Lol
I'm looking forward to checking out your Piggy on Saturday. I'm still looking for that elusive all around CC tuba. I always go back to Arnold Jacobs in "Song and Wind" stating that its cheaper to own 17 mouthpieces and one tuba than 17 tubas and one mouthpiece.
I'm also realizing that I got very lucky with my Willson 2900 I bought 15 years ago when I started my performance degree. It rocks.

Has your tech figured out the buzzing thing on the Conn? Just curious...Grooving for Heaven wrote:Nah, 6 foot 8.
It's still a weird leadpipe for any adult sized person. See you saturday. Hopefully I'll have my Eb out of the shop by then too. it's a fun horn to play. Considering selling the piggy if the Eb turns out to be a great player, but It's hard to let go of a great playing horn that I've had for so long (but I hate to think of it just collecting dust now that I have the 601)

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.
