Baer CC, Bayamo and SSH

Post by dsfinley »

Hi, I'm thinking about possibly making the switch to stainless mouthpieces and I was wondering what peoples opinions were on these three mouthpieces and how people would compare them to the PT 50 and Conn Helleberg 120-S

(I don't want to cause any arguments by asking this and positive and negatives are highly welcomed)

I have the Bayamo and it is truly a deep mouthpiece. It has a good size backbore and the cup width and depth are large. I find it in the middle between a cup and funnel. It has a very narrow rim and is very rounded. I like it fine for low playing and mid range but the upper register does not have the focus I want. FWIW. I think it is a little wider than my PT88 but not deeper.
