$70K worth of instruments stolen in Sacramento, CA

Post by David Richoux »

From Tim's Music and Band Instrument Repair - here is a recent TV story about it. Some clear video of one of the perps is shown: http://www.news10.net/news/article/2440 ... -in-1-week

A statement from the owner:
Tim's Music in Sacramento, California was burglarized twice, May 2 and May 3, by two men. They got away with over $70,000 in merchandise, and though we have footage of the two men in the store, days prior to their initial break in, and a clear face shot of one of the men, we have yet to identify either. We are working with the Sacramento County Sheriff, looking for this man and his accomplice. in order to make swift progress with the identification process, we’re making this photo public to the Internet, we hope to receive any information you may be able to provide. We appreciate any and all help in identifying these men. Please contact us at timsmusicsacramento@gmail.com" target="_blank. Thank you for your time and consideration.

A list of instruments that are missing would be good. Just in case a suspicious instrument shows up for sale here.

Breaking News!

http://www.news10.net/news/article/2451 ... ect-caught" target="_blank" target="_blank
Suspect Eric Brown, 28, was arrested last week in Citrus Heights and faces burglary charges in connection with the thefts at Tim's Music on the 2800 block of Marconi Avenue on May 2 and again on May 3, said Sacramento County sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos.

In both crimes, several musical instruments were taken. The owner of the store estimated the loss in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Citrus Heights police made the arrest after receiving an anonymous tip about the identity of the man shown in the store surveillance video which was released to the public, Ramos said.

It wasn't clear if any of the instruments were recovered.
