I believe this is how many of my customers test their tubas...

Holy crap! Is that a HN White "King" 1291? WHY!?

HeeHee! I remember suggesting this type of testing to determine the true sizes of horns (3/4, 4/4. 5/4, etc...) The horn which could be thrown farther is the smallest and lightest and, therefore, a 3/4. The next farthest would be a 4/4, etc... Would have been as accurate as most anything else...

This would have been held at the long forgotten "Blokestock" in Willison, TN. There would have also been a "Texas vs. Tennessee" barbecue contest and chili cook off. And, from the Northwest Contingent, open-fire, alder smoked salmon. After all were satiated with the food, the horn testing would be held. After the horn testing, there would be tumblers of single malt scotch, fine cigars and trap shooting off the front porch of BlokeManor...

Alas, it was not to be...
