I do want to get mushy for a second.
I am a tubist that from 1985ish till about 2000 was very into the playing scene. I was truly blessed with the places I got to see and the musicians I was able to play with and hang out with. I took lessons everywhere I could and found myself in a place where I either needed to get my DMA, join a military group, or go another direction. For many reasons, I chose another path.
I know some people get annoyed or a little 'too serious' here sometimes (like any family). But the older I get I find in that weird way, this site is always a bright spot in my week. Maybe its a glory years thing. It could just be that I still love that part of my life and this has become the only outlet as I'm stuck out here in rural MO.
My chat with DP this morning just made me realize I need to get off my a$$ and not let the (hopeful) last couple decades I have be 'tubaless'. Those in my position know, it is VERY easy to let life dictate the amount of tuba in your life.
