Hi
I know there are a plethora of topics on the YFB-822, but couldn't find this exactly - what's the difference (if any) between the older models (before the engraving on the bell) and the newer ones? Any idea when this change took place and was there a significance?
If someone knows a sensible way of putting a year to a serial number on these horns as I read somewhere they weren't exactly sequential (illogically so. ..)?
Thanks
Bruce

I don't know much other than they certainly varry greatly, one of the more obvious differences being the weight or thickness of the metal used. No clue how it all correlates to years and serial numbers though.

Interesting. Any idea which is thicker / thinner (i.e. older thicker, newer thinner etc) and how that affects the playing?srawleigh wrote:I don't know much other than they certainly varry greatly, one of the more obvious differences being the weight or thickness of the metal used.
