It's true that most people don't know what a euphonium is. I am constantly surprised how many people don't know a tuba. I was at a rehearsal last night and there was a handbell choir set up behind me. One of the ringers said, I guess they don't have a tuba. Some one else said that is a tuba right in front of you. The ringer was surprised, I guess, that it didn't wrap around my body and rest on my shoulder.
