DAMN - lol,

i just purchased my 2nd HB-21 - but the reason I bought a 21 originally was because my instructor at the time had a HB2P and according to custom music at the time, the 2P was discontinued...
so I got a 21 - I loved the horn, but it was a different beast as I recall.

it seems like there are mixed emotions online with regard to the 21 vs 2p - so i'm curious to see for myself :D

thanks

That's really surprising to me 'Mudge, I've played 21s and 2Ps and never felt hardly any correlation between the two. I'm not a huge Hirsbrunner fan anyway but the 2P is a pretty nice horn. I never felt that way about any of the 21s I ever played. One of these days, some really smart people are going to figure all this out and bring horn designing out of the dark ages.
My opinion for what it's worth...
