"When Tubas Waltz"

Post by Dan Schultz »

I am looking for a source to purchase parts for the ORIGINAL version of "When Tubas Waltz". I found a 'new' version and plan to purchase it but I would also like to have the original parts to match the original score I have.

Here is a link to the 'new' version:

Current 'stable'... Rudolf Meinl 5/4, Marzan (by Willson) euph, King 2341, Alphorn, and other strange stuff.

Try this- http://www.penders.com/product_info.php ... id=6675100" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

FYI- "The New When Tubas Waltz" is a separate piece altogether, and not an updated version of "When Tubas Waltz." They are both by Alfred Bartles and have similar titles, but were written 25 years apart.

You do need to be aware there are two distinct pieces titled When Tubas Waltz and both were written by Alfred Bartles for Tenn Tech Tuba Ensemble. I premiered the fist version and Alf was my theory teacher. They have both been recorded by TTU.
TTU Tuba. Ensemble is playing at Weill Recital Hall in NY on March 18
