Hey guys, got a question. I have gotten my refund check and thinking about getting another tuba. In Craig's List, there is a M&M Tuba for sale, model #TU 520. I really can't tell if is a good or bad tuba. So, help me spoke and other folks. Is it a good buy or tell the seller to stuff it....nicely.

The real questions are: Do you want a 1/2-3/4 size BBb tuba? What price are they asking?catkins522 wrote:Hey guys, got a question. Keep in mind that you can get one NEW from M&M for $1.6k. Mack Brass sells this instrument too for $1.4k. I don't know about shipping. (that's easily answered by e-mailing either vendor)
If they're not asking too much, go play it and decide for yourself if it's good.

It depends what you want to do with this horn. It is a very small tuba (3/4 in size) with a small
bore (.630") and a 14.9" bell. As long as you don't expect any "real tuba" sound & want a nice practice
horn, it would be fine for that. Here is a video with Tom Mcgrady playing that tuba.
