I've been playing in public for 55 years and I have never heard anything like this or done anything like this. Has anyone? Is this a setup?

Have you ever done this?
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

There is no good way to handle that... but this was certainly among the worst.

But it is perfectly acceptable as long as you are in front of the percussion section

Re: Have you ever done this?
This exact same thing happened in a concert I played in last April.
It IS proper manners to cover your mouth if you sneeze, but what do you do if your are holding a trombone??? Both hands are holding the horn, you can't even use your shirt/jacket sleeve either
I still don't think that using the mouthpiece of your horn to cover your mouth & ruin the piece with a trombone blast is acceptable

I hope you quickly turned to look at the bass trombone player with a sour face!!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

This was on The Soup on E! last night. His punchline was something like "why did I choose this career when I knew I had a trombone allergy!"

I hope it was in tune and rhythmically correct. If it was outdoors, you could blame it on a local animal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9GU4P-1AWI" target="_blankTubaTinker wrote:Well.... I farted once during a long rest.
