I've heard reference to this: Facebook 'Bass Players Union' page.....
...what's it all about?

Tuba (Brass Band Bass) players. All Tuba/Sousa players welcome.

It's not very clearly worded but it could mean "those who build sheds"

The brass band world has maybe already decided that top action compensating horns are all that they need and everything thing else is just wrong or not allowed....
