Boosey&Hawkes "Imperial" Serial Number?

Post by roughrider »

Today's question is: Where are the serial numbers located on a Boosey&Hawkes "Imperial" model tuba? I would estimate this horn as being about 50-60 years old, however I cannot confirm this as I cannot find the number on the horn. Any ideas? Thanks for the anticipated help!

Mine has two - one on the bell near the top branch, and the other on the second valve casing.

*Edit: The bell and main body have a ~30 year difference in production, which I think is why there are two.

Mine is on the back of the bell, about 3 inches above the top brace
